Venezuela - weather in April

April is a month of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, which in Venezuela, a country located just north of the Equator, is the hottest season. April is generally a very hot month, still dry and sunny in the extreme north, and gradually more rainy going south.
During the month, the sun passes through the zenith at noon from south to north. In Venezuela, April is on average the warmest month of the year, in particular, it is the warmest in the inland areas of the north, a short distance from the coast (see Valencia, Barquisimeto, San Juan De Los Morros, Maturín), but also in the inland areas of the north-east (see Ciudad Bolívar). In hotter cities, average daily temperatures can exceed 30 °C (86 °F). On the hottest days, the temperature can reach 40 °C (104 °F).
The rains are frequent and abundant in the south, in the Amazon forest (see San Carlos de Río Negro), while in the center-north they increase during the month. In the far east, in the Orinoco delta area, the rains are quite frequent, even this we are in the relatively dry season (which runs from February to April).
In the north, on the other hand (see Maracaibo, Caracas, Barcelona), the rains are still quite rare, and are very rare on the islands of the Caribbean Sea.

The sea is warm enough for swimming.
