Bolivia - weather in April

April in Bolivia is an autumn month, although, due to the location north of the Tropic of Capricorn, the temperatures are still similar to summer ones, especially in the lowlands.
In the plains of the north, occupied by the forest, where it is hot all year round (see Cobija, Riberalta), it is still a hot and rainy month, even though the rains are a little less frequent that in the previous months, moreover, at night the temperature begins to decrease a little. During the day, on the other hand, it can get very hot, and the temperature can reach 35/36 °C (95/97 °F).
In the central-southern plains, in the Gran Chaco, occupied by the savannah, it is a hot month, but the rains are not frequent by now. Also, sometimes cool air can arrive, which can lower the night temperature to 15 °C (59 °F) or even below. During the day, on the other hand, it can get very hot, and the temperature can reach 36/37 °C (95/97 °F).
In the Andes (see La Paz, Sucre, Lake Titicaca, Salar de Uyuni), during the day the temperature is still similar to the summer one, while at night it begins to decrease a bit. At high altitudes, it can drop below freezing by a few degrees, especially at the end of the month. On the other hand, the rains are by now quite rare and in any case not abundant.
