Argentina - weather in April

In Argentina, April is an autumn month. In the north (see Formosa, Resistencia, Santiago Del Estero) it is still warm, in fact the daytime temperatures are around 28/29 °C (82/84 °F), but there is no longer the unpleasant heat of the summer months. In the center-north, in Buenos Aires and Rosario, the daily average is 18/19 °C (64/66 °F).
In Patagonia the temperatures are mild, in fact the daily average is around 14 °C (57 °F), while in the far south, in Tierra del Fuego, it is already quite cold, in fact the daily average drops to 6.5 °C (43.5 °F).
However, in the north there may still be very hot periods, with highs of around 35 °C (95 °F), especially in the first part of the month.
The southerly winds can bring rapid drops in temperature, which can go below freezing at night in the south, and around 10 °C (50 °F) in the north.
The rains are abundant in the north-east, but sometimes also in the Buenos Aires area, where there can be waves of bad weather. In the north-west (see Tucumán, Salta), on the other hand, the rains are less frequent than in the previous months.
In Patagonia, which has an arid and windy climate, the rains are quite rare, while in the extreme south, in Tierra del Fuego, where disturbances from the Pacific pass throughout the year, the rains are quite frequent.
