Africa
In February, the situation is similar to that of January: in North Africa it's winter; on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea it's hot and there is little rain, but the sky is often cloudy in the easternmost part. In equatorial countries of East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania) there is little rain and the sun shines, but it's hot, at least in the lowlands. In Southern Africa it's summer and it's hot, but you can go in Johannesburg, which is located in the plateau, and in Cape Town, on the ocean coast.

Asia
In February, it is winter and it is very cold in the vast areas having a continental climate; in South Asia it's hot and the north-east monsoon prevails, bringing fine weather, except on the more exposed slopes. By the middle of the month, in the south the temperature begins to rise, so for some cities we have recommended only the first half of the month.

North and Central America
In North America it is still winter, and the weather is freezing in most of Canada and in North-central United States. In Florida, the temperature is pleasant, although sometimes it can get cold, at least in the north-central part. In Central America it is hot and sunny, but some slopes exposed to the northeast trade winds are still quite rainy, though less than in January.

South America
In February, it is still summer in the Southern Hemisphere; in the northern part of the Andes it's the least rainy season, while the Pacific Coast is sunny and not too hot.

Europe
In February is still winter. Compared with January, the temperature is similar; depending on the year, sometimes the most intense cold waves may occur in this month, especially in the first half. However, in Nordic countries the day becomes longer than in January. In the last part of the month, typically the temperature begins to rise. In southern countries, there can be mild and sunny periods, but they alternate with periods of bad weather.
Oceania
In February it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere, which means that at tropical latitudes it's hot, it rains and tropical cyclones can pass. In Australia, in the south the temperatures are generally acceptable, but sometimes, heat waves are possible. On the contrary, it's the best season in New Zealand.
