Bolivia - weather in July

Map with cities - Bolivia

July in Bolivia is the central month of winter and is the coldest of the year.
In the northern plains, occupied by the forest, where it is hot all year round (see Cobija, Riberalta), the average daily temperatures are around 24/25 °C (75/77 °F). Sometimes cool air can arrive, and at night the temperature can drop to 12/13 °C (54/55 °F) or a little lower. During the day, on the other hand, it can get very hot, and the temperature can reach 35 °C (95 °F). Winter in the north is the only dry season, with rare rainfall.
In the plains of the center and south, in the Gran Chaco, occupied by the savannah, the average temperatures are a little lower, around 21/22 °C (70/72 °F), however, the variations are greater than in the north, in fact, the cold winds coming from the Argentine pampas, the surazos, can lower the night temperature to about 5 °C (41 °F) or a little below, while on other occasions the temperature can reach 35 °C (95 °F). Here too, however, it is the dry season, and the rains are rare.
In the Andes (see La Paz, Sucre, Lake Titicaca, Salar de Uyuni), it is a dry and sunny period. During the day the air is mild, but at night it gets cold, and above 3,500 meters (11,500 feet) the temperatures usually drop below freezing.

Although we are in the tropics, so the length of the day does not vary much over the course of the year, June and July are the months in which the days are shortest, and last about 11.5 hours in the north and 11 hours in the south.
