November in Argentina is the last month of spring. In the north, crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn, the climate is already hot, in fact the average daily temperature is 25/26 °C (77/79 °F). Also, sometimes in the north there can be intense
heatwaves, when the temperature can exceed 40 °C (104 °F). Actually, in October and November the heat records in the north are even higher than those of the summer.
In the center-north, in Buenos Aires and Rosario, the daily average is around 21 °C (70 °F), and there can be summer-like days, with highs of 30 °C (86 °F) and more.
In Patagonia, there is a striking difference between day and night temperatures. The daily average is around 17 °C (62.5 °F) in Puerto Madryn, Trelew and Comodoro Rivadavia. In the extreme south, in Tierra del Fuego, it is still very cool, in fact the daily average is 8/9 °C (46/48 °F).
The
winds from the south can bring rapid decreases in temperature, which at night can drop below freezing in the south, below 5 °C (41 °F) in the Pampas and below 10 °C (50 °F) in the north.
The
rains are decidedly abundant in the north-east (see Posadas, Iguazu Falls), however, they are quite abundant throughout the north-central, where they often occur in the form of thunderstorms.
In Patagonia, which has an arid and windy climate, the rains are quite rare, while in the extreme south, in Tierra del Fuego, where disturbances from the Pacific pass throughout the year, the rains are quite frequent. In the far south, in Tierra del Fuego, it can still snow occasionally.
