Climate chart - Dakhla
The climate of Dakhla (formerly Villa Cisneros) is subtropical desert, very mild in winter and pleasantly warm in summer.
The city is located on the coast of Western Sahara, on the Río de Oro peninsula (or Wad ad-Dahab), and is heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, where a cold current flows. For this reason, the climate is very mild, and heat waves from the desert are also quite rare. On the other hand, the wind blows continuously.
