Astoria, where it's located

The climate of Astoria is oceanic, with quite mild, rainy winters and cool, quite sunny summers.
The town is located in the northern part of the Oregon coast, at the 46th parallel, on the Columbia River Estuary, beyond which we find the state of Washington. In the cold semester, fog can form, at night and in the early morning. The rains are very frequent from November to February, while in spring they gradually become less frequent, and reach a minimum in July and August, when there are many sunny days.
Winter is not very cold, but it is wet and rainy. Sometimes, there may be short cold periods, in which the nighttime temperature drops below freezing, and the daytime temperature rises slightly above freezing. Sometimes it can even snow. On the coldest nights of the year, the temperature generally drops to -4/-6 °C (21/25 °F), but can sometimes drop below. In December 2013, it went down to -10 °C (14 °C), and in December 1990, to as low as -14 °C (7 °F).
Summer is particularly cool: the maximum temperature remains around 20 °C (68 °F) even in July and August. Also, in the afternoon, a lively breeze blows from the sea, cool if not cold. On rare occasions, the temperature can reach 30/33 °C (86/91 °F), when a bit of hot air arrives from the California deserts, but even in these cases, at night, the temperature returns cool due to the sea breeze.
The average temperature of the coldest month (December) is of 6 °C (43 °F), that of the warmest month (August) is of 16.1 °C (61 °F). Here are the average temperatures.
