Winter, from December to February, is mild.
There are many sunny days, in which the air is mild during the day, but quite cold at night. Also, in periods of good weather, fog can form at night and in the early morning.
However, there are also periods of bad weather, with wind and rain.
Very cold days are rare, however, on the coldest nights of the year, the temperature generally drops to -2/-3 °C (27/28 °F).
The cold record is -5.5 °C (22 °F) and was recorded in December 1979 and January 2005. However, even during the coldest days, it is very rare for the maximum to remain below 10 °C (50 °F).
Snow in Jerez is extremely rare. The last time that the city was covered in a white blanket was in February 1954.

Summer, from June to mid-September, is very hot and sunny, with very rare rains.
During the day, there is often scorching heat because the Guadalquivir plain heats up a lot (in the interior, we find Seville and Cordoba, the hottest cities in Europe), but in Jerez, which is close to the sea, in the afternoon the breeze blows from the ocean, which remains cool even in summer. For this reason, at night the temperature almost always drops below 20 °C (68 °F).
However, the temperature exceeds 35 °C (95 °F) for 33 days a year. The heat record is 45 °C (113 °F), and was recorded in August 2003. In 2016, the temperature reached 44.5 °C (112 °F) in early September.

Best Time

To visit Jerez you can choose the months of April, May and October, to avoid the summer heat and the winter rains, even though in these months it can sometimes rain. In summer it can be very hot, but you can go to the sea which is not far away.
