The climate of Cape Agulhas can be considered as
Mediterranean, given that the winters are mild and quite rainy and the summers warm and dry, however, the climate is particularly mild, given that it is influenced by the Ocean. Furthermore, the wind blows often.
Cape Agulhas is located in the Western Cape province, at almost 35 degrees south latitude, and is the southern tip of South Africa and also of the entire African continent. Nearby we find the town of Struisbaai. The Cape of Good Hope is located 15 km (9 mi) to the north-west.
We are in the Overberg region, the part of South Africa east of Cape Town.
Even though the climate is mild, a hot wind can blow from the northern deserts all year round, perhaps only for a day or two, which can raise the temperature to around 30 °C (86 °F), and sometimes more.
