Climate chart - Pozega
The climate of Pozega (Užicka Pozega) is moderately continental, with cold winters and warm summers.
The city is located in western Serbia, in the Zlatibor district, at an altitude of 300 meters (1,000 ft).
Winter is cold and gray, with snowfalls and frosts, although there are also some quite mild periods. Sometimes fog can form.
During cold spells, which occur every year or so, the temperature drops to -15 °C (5 °F) or below. The coldest record is -30.5 °C (-23 °F), recorded in January 1963. From 2001 to 2020, the extreme minimum was -26.5 °C (-15.5 °F), recorded in February 2012.
Summer is hot and sunny, although nights are usually cool, moreover, thunderstorms can sometimes break out in the afternoon.
In the hottest periods, the temperature can reach or exceed 35 °C (95 °F). The record heat is 41 °C (106 °F), recorded in July 2007. It was an exceptional heat wave, however, the temperature also reached 39.5 °C (103 °F) in July 2000 and in August 2012.

In order to avoid both the winter cold and the summer heat, the best times to visit Pozega are spring and autumn, and in particular, the months of May, June and September: daytime temperatures are pleasant, although it's better to bring a sweater and a jacket for the evening. In July and August, the temperature is usually not too hot, however, there is the risk of some very hot days, which can happen, though more rarely, also in the second half of June and in the first half of September.
However, it can be useful to bring a sweatshirt and a light jacket for the evening even in the height of summer.
