Climate chart - Kaolack (Senegal)

Kaolack's climate is tropical semi-arid, with a long, dry season from November to May, and a wet, rainy season that runs roughly from mid-June to mid-October. The total rainfall that falls in a year is not low, but the climate can be defined as semi-arid because the dry season is very long.
The city is located in the south-central Senegal, about 150 km (95 mi) south-east of Dakar.
During the day it is hot all year round, but from November to March, nights are a bit cooler and the humidity is lower.
All year round, however, a hot, dry wind can blow from the interior, maybe just for a day or two.
