The climate of Caransebes is
continental, with cold winters and warm summers.
The city is located in the west of Romania, in the Banat region, 200 meters (650 feet) above sea level. The proximity of the southern Carpathians, which are located a few kilometers to the east, makes the climate a little more rainy than in other cities of Romania.
Winter is cold and gray (though less so than in other areas of Romania), with snowfalls and frosts alternating with milder periods.

To visit Caransebes, you can choose the months of May and September. In summer, sometimes the heat is bearable, while at other times, especially in July and August, it can be intense.
