The climate of Calarasi is
continental, with cold winters and hot summers.
The city is located in south-eastern Romania, near the border with Bulgaria, and 100 km (60 miles) from the Black Sea coast.
Winter is cold and gray (though less so than in other areas of Romania), with snowfalls and frosts. Sometimes fog can form.
