The climate of Saint-Denis is tropical, with a hot, rainy period from December to April and a relatively cool, dry period from June to October. In the latter, the south-east trade winds blow, and some short showers can form. The sun shines for a good number of hours all year round.
The city is the capital of the island of Réunion and is located on the north coast.
