Climate in Évora (Portugal)

The climate of Évora is Mediterranean, with mild, relatively rainy winters and hot, sunny summers.
The city is located in the south-east of Portugal, at an altitude of 300 meters (1,000 ft), in the Alentejo Central. We are in the area that in summer is the hottest of the country (because in the far south, in Algarve, the climate is mitigated by the ocean).

Winter, from December to February, is mild.

The best times to visit Évora are spring and autumn, ie from mid-April to mid-June and from mid-September to early October. In June, the weather is often nice, but it can sometimes be hot, especially in the second half of the month.
