Climate chart - Baguio
The climate of Baguio is tropical, although tempered by the altitude, with a rainy season from May to October and a dry season from December to March, with April and November as transition months.

Baguio is a city of 365,000 inhabitants, located in the northern Philippines, on the island of Luzon, in the province of Benguet, about 200 km (125 mi) north of Manila, from 1,300 to 1,500 meters (4,200 to 4,900) above sea level and at 16 degrees north latitude.
Due to its altitude, which makes it much cooler than the other cities in the country, where sultry heat dominates, Baguio is considered the "summer capital" of the Philippines.
In particular, Baguio is a refuge from the heat of the northern cities during the hottest time of the year, namely March and April, before the rains brought by the summer monsoon.

Besides being the coolest city in the Philippines, Baguio is also one of the rainiest. In particular, in August, almost one meter (3.3 feet) of rain falls.
From December to February, on colder nights, the temperature typically drops to around 10 °C (50 °F), but it can sometimes drop as low as 7.5 °C (45.5 °F), as happened in January 2009 and February 2017.
During the day, sometimes the maximum can remain around 18/19 °C (64.5/66 °F), both in winter, during the cooler periods, and in summer, due to rain and cloudy skies.
On the hottest days of the year, the temperature typically reaches 30 °C (86 °F) from April to June.
The sun in Baguio shines often in the dry season, although fog can form at night and in the early morning, while in the rainy season it can be seen for a few hours a day.

Like the rest of northern and central Philippines, Baguio can be hit by typhoons, the tropical cyclones of Southeast Asia. Typhoons generally occur from May to December, although they are more frequent between August and November.
