Climate chart - Jiwani
The climate of Jiwani is tropical desert.
The city is located in the extreme southwest of Pakistan, in the province of Balochistan, near the border with Iran, on the coast of the Arabian Sea, at 25 degrees north latitude. About 50 km (30 mi) to the east, on a small peninsula is the city of Gwadar.
Winter, from December to February, is pleasantly warm and sunny, with very rare rains brought by low pressure areas from the Persian Gulf. Nights are cool, and can sometimes be cold when cold air comes from the north.
The rest of the year is very hot and sunny. The hottest period is from April to June, when there can be intense heat waves. In July and August, the sea breeze blows, tempering the heat, even though the humidity of the air increases. However, it does not rain, because unlike in Karachi and eastern Pakistan, the monsoon does not arrive here.

Jiwani

Being in the south and on the coast, Jiwani is exposed to the risk of tropical cyclones, although less than in Karachi and in eastern Pakistan. Cyclones form from May to November, and are more frequent and intense at the beginning of the period (mid-May-early June) and less at the end (October), while from July to September, when the monsoon is at the height of activity in India, they generally do not occur. In November, they typically affect the southern part of India and the Arabian Peninsula, but do not reach Pakistan.

Best Time

The best time to visit Jiwani is winter, from December to February, being the mildest within the dry season.
