The climate of Mainé-Soroa is tropical arid, with a rainy season from June to September.
The city is located in southern Niger, at 335 meters (1,100 feet) above sea level, near the border with Nigeria.
We are in the Sahel area, which receives some rains in the summer, brought by the African monsoon. The hottest time of the year is from April to June, before the rains.
