The climate of Diffa is tropical arid, with a rainy season from June to September.
We are in the Sahel area, which receives some rains in the summer, brought by the African monsoon. The hottest time of the year is from April to June, before the rains.
The city is located in the extreme southeast of Niger, on the banks of the Yobe River, on the border with Nigeria, but also not far from Lake Chad and the border with Chad and with northern Cameroon.
