Climate chart - Toamasina
The climate of Toamasina (or Tamatave, formerly Port aux prunes) is tropical, with a warmer, rainier period from December to April and a cooler period from June to September.
The city is located on the east coast of Madagascar, in the region of Atsinanana, of which it is the capital, and at 18 degrees south latitude.
We are in an area where there is no dry season because the southeast trade winds bring rain even in the austral winter. However, the least rainy period is from September to November.
