Climate chart - Antsirabe
The climate of Antsirabe is subtropical, influenced by altitude, with a cool, dry period from June to mid-August and a warm, rainy period from November to March.
Antsirabe is a city of 245,000 inhabitants, located in the center of Madagascar, at 1,500 meters above sea level, in the region of Vakinankaratra, of which it is the capital, and at almost 20 degrees south latitude. About 120 km (75 mi) to the north is Antananarivo, the capital of the country.

In winter, the temperature drops significantly at night, and can occasionally even drop slightly below freezing.
Generally the hottest days occur in spring, from September to November, before the rainy season, when the temperature can exceed 30 °C (86 °F), and at times reach 32/33 °C (90/91 °F). Instead, in the summer rainy season, the highest records are around 30 °C (86 °F).
