Climate chart - Benghazi
The climate of Benghazi can be defined as Mediterranean, since the winters are mild and quite rainy and the summers are hot and sunny. However, the rains are not abundant and occur for a short period, so the climate is semi-arid.
The city is located on the coast of Libya, in the eastern part of the Gulf of Sirte. We are in the northeastern part of Libya, called Cyrenaica.
The humidity is generally high, however, all year round, a hot, dry wind can blow from the desert, which can at the same time lower the humidity and raise the temperature.
