The climate of Marsabit is pleasantly warm with cool nights, being mitigated by the altitude.
The city is located in northern Kenya, at 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) above sea level, south-east of the Chalbi desert. Here, however, the rains are a bit more abundant due to the altitude. We are in fact near Mount Marsabit, an extinct volcano of 1,707 meters (5,600 feet), protected in a national park and covered with forests.
However, there is a dry season from June to September.
