The climate of Garissa is tropical semi-arid, with two rainy seasons that are not very intense.
The city is located in the east of Kenya, at 140 meters (460 feet) above sea level, on the banks of the Tana River, in the hot and arid part of the country.
We are in the area of Kenya where there are two rainy periods. The wettest months are March, April, November and December.
