The climate of Sassandra is tropical, with a hotter, dry period from December to February and a rainy period from March to November. The rains reach a maximum in May and June, while they decrease significantly in August and September, even though the sky is often cloudy.
In December, even though we are already in the dry season, intense showers can still occur, although they are rare.
The wettest period is clearly from May to July.
The city is located in the southwest of the Ivory Coast, on the coast.
The harmattan, the dust-laden wind, blows in the dry period, but less often than in the north-central of the country.
