Winter, from December to February, is mild, with fairly rare rainfall. The temperature is often mild or very mild during the day, although at night it drops considerably, and can drop to around 0 °C, especially in January.
Snowfall is rare, both because the winter is mild and because it is dry. However, there can sometimes be cold periods, during which the temperature can drop below freezing at night, and during which it can also snow. In the exceptional month of January 2008, the temperature dropped to -7 °C (44.5 °F), and there were six days with snow.

Summer, from June to August, is very hot, so much so that the maximum temperatures normally exceed 40 °C (104 °F). On the hottest days the temperature can reach 46/47 °C (115/117 °F). In July 2024, it reached 49.3 °C (120.7 °F) in July and 49.7 °C (121.5 °F) in August.
