Climate chart - Trivandrum
The climate of Trivandrum (or Thiruvananthapuram) is tropical, with a rainy season from April to early December and a dry season from mid-December to March. There are two very rainy periods, in June (when the southwest monsoon begins) and in October (when the north-east monsoon or retreating monsoon begins).
The city is the capital of the state of Kerala and is located in the southwest of India, in the southern part of the Malabar coast, at 8 degrees north latitude.
In April and May, before the monsoon proper, there are some rain showers which gradually become more frequent.
The temperature is high all year round and is quite stable, however, it is a bit higher from March to May, before the monsoon, when it can reach 35/36 °C (95/97 °F) at the airport, which is closer to the sea, and at 37/38 °C (99/100 °F) in the city.

Trivandrum

Trivandrum is in the path of tropical cyclones. Typically, cyclones occur from April to December, although the extreme south of India is normally affected only in November and December. In any case, since the sea is warm all year round, in theory they can also form from January to March, perhaps in light form (as tropical storms).

Best Time

The best time to visit Trivandrum is from late December to late March, since it is the dry season.
