The climate of Gwalior is
subtropical, with a
rainy season that runs from approximately mid-June to late September, due to the monsoon, and a
dry season from October to mid-June. Since the dry season is long, the landscape is arid.
The city is located in northern India, in the northern part of the state of
Madhya Pradesh, at 26 degrees north latitude and 200 meters (650 feet) above sea level.

best time to visit Gwalior is from mid-November to mid-February, being the coolest within the dry season. It must be said that this is the time of the year when pollution is highest.
