Climate chart - Bareilly
The climate of Bareilly is subtropical, with a rainy season that goes approximately from mid-June to mid or late September, due to the monsoon, and a dry season from late September to mid June.
The city is located in northern India, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, at 28 degrees north latitude and 270 meters (885 feet) above sea level. Nearby flows the Ramganga River, a tributary of the Ganges. The Indian capital, New Delhi, is approximately 210 km (130 mi) further to the west. Compared to the latter, Bareilly is less hot but more humid in the period before the monsoon, and more rainy in the monsoon period, since it is located further to the east and closer to the mountains.
We are in the Indo-Gangetic plain, which is a very polluted area, especially from October to February, when air stagnates more easily.
In winter, from mid-November to late February or early March, nights are cool, and sometimes even cold. In January 2013, the temperature dropped to -0.1 °C (31.8 °F).
In addition, from November to February, fog can form at night and in the early morning. The fog usually dissolves during the day, however, in these situations, it can sometimes be cool even during the day, with highs of 14/15 °C (57/59 °F), and sometimes even below. In January 2011, there was a day with a maximum of 10 °C (50 °F).
From mid-March to mid-June, before the monsoon, it is very hot. In the hottest periods, the temperature can reach or exceed 45 °C (113 °F). The temperature reached 47.3 °C (117.1 °F) in June 1995.

Bareilly

Best Time

The best time to visit Bareilly is from November to February, being the coolest within the dry season. It must be said that this is the time of the year when pollution is highest. Also, in the middle of winter, usually from mid-December to mid-January, it can get a little cold and fog can be persistent, so the latter period can be avoided.
