Climate in Ahmedabad (Gujarat)

The climate of Ahmedabad is tropical, with a rainy season from mid-June to September, due to the monsoon, and a dry season from October to mid-June. Since the dry season is long, the landscape is barren, moreover, during some years the monsoon lasts less than normal, causing drought, while in other years it is more intense and can cause floods.
The city is located in western India, in the state of Gujarat, just south of the Tropic of Cancer, on the banks of the Sabarmati River. A little to the north is Gandhinagar, the state capital.
