In Mannheim, the climate is slightly continental, with cold (but not freezing) winters and warm summers.

Mannheim is a city of 315,000 inhabitants, located in the south-west of Germany, in the state of Baden-Württemberg, on the banks of the Rhine River, and at 49 degrees north latitude. Together with the cities of Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg, it forms the metropolitan region Rhine-Neckar.
