Climate chart - Konstanz
The climate in Konstanz is semi-continental, with cold winters and warm summers .

Konstanz, or Constance, is a city of 85,000 inhabitants, located in the south-west of Germany, in the Land of Baden-Württemberg, on the shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee), at 405 meters (1,330 feet) above sea level. The lake is formed by the Rhine river, which narrows and bisects the city, before widening again to form the Lower Lake Constance (Untersee). Near the old town, on the southern shore of the lake, is the city of Kreuzlingen, in Switzerland.

The winter is cold and gray. There may be relatively mild periods, when Atlantic currents prevail, and other colder periods, during which the temperature can drop below freezing and it can snow.
Sometimes, there can be cold spells, in which temperatures can drop as low as -10 °C (14 °F) or even below. In the post-war period, the coldest record is -20.6 °C (-5.1 °F) and was set in February 1956.

In spring, it can still be cold in the first part (March-April), while in the second part (April-May), when the temperature rises, thunderstorms can break out.

In summer, the temperatures are generally pleasant and lend themselves to outdoor activities, although rains and thunderstorms can occur.
At times, hot periods can occur, generally of short duration, which in recent years are becoming more frequent due to global warming, and in which the temperature can exceed 32 °C (90 °F). The highest record is 36.9 °C (98.4 °F) and was set in July 2019.
