In Kassel, the climate is slightly continental, with cold winters and very mild to pleasantly warm summers.

Kassel, formerly Cassel, is a city of 205,000 inhabitants, located in central Germany, in the state of Hesse, at 51 degrees north latitude.
Near the city there is a hill, which hosts a park, the largest of its kind in Europe, the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe.
