Average weather, temperature, rainfall, sunshine hours

The climate of Malabo is
tropical, with a relatively dry season from December to February, and a rainy season from March to November, within which there is a very rainy period from May to October.
The city is the capital of Equatorial Guinea and is located on the north coast of the island of Bioko, the northernmost and the closest to the African continent.
Southwestern winds prevail all year round. The sky is often cloudy all year round, even in the driest months, but especially in the rainy period. Actually, with about 1,000 hours of sunshine per year, Malabo is one of the least sunny capitals in the world.
Thunderstorms are also very frequent, and there are many days when thunder can be heard even if it doesn't rain. This also happens because south of the city is the highest peak in Equatorial Guinea, Pico Basilé, 3,011 meters (9,879 feet) high, where thunderstorms often form.
