Climate in Changchun (Jilin)

The climate of Changchun is continental, influenced by the Asian monsoon, with freezing, dry winters and hot, rainy summers.
The city is located in the north-west of China, at 44 degrees north latitude and 240 meters (785 feet) above sea level, and is the capital of the province of Jilin, which borders to the south with North Korea.
The winter is very cold because cold air masses of Siberian origin prevail. The sun shines often and snowfalls are rare.
