Sandanski, where it's located

The climate of Sandanski is slightly continental, with cold winters and hot summers.
The city is located in south-western Bulgaria, in the Struma river valley, near the border with Greece and northern Macedonia, in an area relatively mild in winter and hot in summer. In fact, in winter, the average temperature is not very low, even though the temperature can drop below -10 °C (14 °F) during cold waves.
