Vitória's climate is tropical, with a relatively cool and dry season from June to August, and a hot and rainy season from November to March.
The city is located in south-central Brazil, at 20 degrees south latitude, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, in the small state of Espírito Santo, of which it is the capital.
Sometimes in winter, from June to September, there can be slightly cool days, with highs of 22/23 °C (72/73 °F).
In the hot season, from November to March, the sea breeze tempers the heat, however, there can be very hot periods.

The best time to visit Vitória is from June to August, being the coolest and driest of the year. The sea is warm enough for swimming, even though it is cooler than in the other months, moreover, some days can be a bit cool. For a beach holiday you can then choose the months of February (which is hot and muggy, but is the driest of the summer) and May (which is not as cool as the winter ones, but is not as sunny as February).
