The climate of Ribeirão Preto is tropical, with a relatively cool and dry season from June to August, and a hot and rainy season from November to March.
The city is located in southern Brazil, in the state of São Paulo, at 21 degrees south latitude and 570 meters (1,870 feet) above sea level.
