Natal's climate is tropical, with a rainy season from March to August and a dry season from September to January.
The city is the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte and is located in the north-east of Brazil, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
Temperatures are stable, although they drop a bit in the austral winter, from June to September.
All year round, but especially from August to November, moderate winds blow from the ocean, reducing the sensation of heat.
Natal is known in Brazil as the "city of the sun", and in fact the sun shines for 2,900 hours a year, and it's not missing even in the wettest months.
