Climate chart - Macapá
Macapá's climate is tropical, with a long rainy season from December to July, and a dry season from September to mid-November. This last period is also, albeit slightly, the hottest of the year. The dry season is so short that tropical forest grows in the area.
The city is the capital of the state of Amapá and is located in the north of Brazil, exactly at the Equator, near the coast, in the Amazon River delta.
