João Pessoa's climate is tropical, with a rainy season from March to August and a dry season from October to December. In September, January and February, the rains are at an intermediate level.
The city is the capital of the state of Paraíba and is located in the north-east of Brazil, at the easternmost point of the American continent, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
Temperatures are quite stable, although they drop a bit in the austral winter, from June to September.
