Climate chart - Goiania
The climate of Goiânia is tropical, tempered by the altitude, with a rainy season from October to April and a dry season from May to September.
The city is the capital of the state of Goiás and is located in south-central Brazil, at an altitude of 800 meters (2,600 feet).
From June to August, it is the winter of the southern hemisphere, and in fact the temperature decreases, especially at night, while during the day, being the sunniest season, the temperature rises and reaches values similar to the rest of the year. In this period, it can sometimes get a little cold at night, and the temperature can drop below 10 °C (50 °F).
From mid-August the temperature rises, and until October reaches the highest values of the year, before the rains.
