The climate of Florianópolis is
subtropical, with very mild winters (from June to September) and hot summers (from December to March). There is no dry season, however the rains are more frequent in spring and summer, from October to March.
The city is located in southern Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina, at 27 degrees south latitude. The city is divided between the island of Santa Catarina and the mainland, to which it is connected by a bridge.

Best Time
The best time to visit Florianópolis is from June to August, being the coolest and driest of the year. It must be said that sometimes it can get a little cold, moreover, the sea is very cool for swimming. So, for a beach holiday it will be necessary to choose the summer, from December to March, even though the air is often hot and humid, there can be severe thunderstorms and sometimes even heat waves.
