Climate in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais)

The climate of Belo Horizonte is tropical, tempered by altitude, with a rainy season from November to March and a dry season from May to September, while April and October are transitional months.
The city is located in south-central Brazil, in the state of Minas Gerais, at almost 20 degrees south latitude and 850 meters (2,800 feet) above sea level, even though in the different cities of the metropolitan area the altitude ranges from 750 to 1,200 meters (2,450 to 3,900 feet).
