The climate of Tshane is arid sub-tropical, tempered by altitude, with a hot, rainy season from November to March and a long dry season from April to October, within which there is a cool period from May to August. In the latter, at night the temperature can drop a few degrees below freezing. During the day, it can get very hot from September to April.
The small town is located in southwestern Botswana, in the Kalahari desert, at 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) above sea level.
