Climate chart - Riberalta
The climate of Riberalta is tropical, with a rainy season from October to April and a dry, relatively cool season from June to August. From mid-August to October, before the rains, it is the hottest time of the year.
The city is located in the north of Bolivia, in the department of Beni, at an altitude of 140 meters, where the rivers Beni and Madre de Dios meet.
The average temperatures are high all year round, but in the austral winter, from June to August, they decrease a bit, especially at night. Also, especially from April to September, cool air from the Argentine pampas can sometimes arrive here, bringing suddenly cool temperatures, sometimes even a little chilly at night. In July 2000 there was a day with a maximum of 14 °C (57 °F).
