The climate of Meekatharra is subtropical desert, with mild, dry winters (during which it can get cold at night) and very hot summers, during which good weather prevails but some thunderstorms can break out. The sun shines all year round.
The village, founded at the time of the gold rush, is located in the state of Western Australia, at 26 degrees south latitude and 520 meters (1,705 ft) above sea level.

Meekatharra

In winter, from June to August, the temperature can sometimes drop to around freezing, although during the day, with the sun, it rises considerably.
