Average weather, temperature, rainfall, sunshine hours

In Geelong, there is a
subtropical oceanic climate, with mild winters (from late May to August) and pleasantly warm summers (from December to mid-March).
Geelong is located in southeastern Australia, and is the second most populous city in the state of Victoria. The largest city, Melbourne, is located about 60 km (37 mi) to the northeast, on the northern side of Port Phillip Bay, while Geelong is located in the southwestern part, just 15 km (9 mi) away from the ocean.
The climate of Geelong is similar to that of Melbourne, that is,
unstable and windy, even though it is a little less rainy.
In winter there can be light frosts at night, while in summer there can be heat waves from the desert, sometimes even for just one day.
Best Time
The
best periods to visit Geelong are spring and autumn, namely from mid-April to mid-May and from mid-September to mid-October: in this way, you can avoid the hot periods in summer, which, however, hit the city for a few days per year.
