The climate of Villa Mercedes is subtropical, but with some continental characteristics, with mild (but sometimes cold at night), dry winters and hot, rainy summers. In summer, rainfall often occurs in the form of thunderstorms.

Villa Mercedes is a city of 110,000 inhabitants located in Argentina, at 33 degrees south latitude and 500 meters (1,650 ft) above sea level, in the province of San Luis.
